Walkthrough & Notes

Level minimum is currently unknown; a level 53 can start it.

1. Talk to Xorva to obtain an Unstable Portal Stabilizer.
2. Run around the landscape until a spawn of Corrupted Empyrean Gear Knights appears surrounding an Unstable Exit Gate.
3. Either kill them or wait for the spawns to cycle until a Corrupted Empyrean Gear Knight Captain appears. Kill the captain and loot the Unstable Portal Fragment from the corpse.
4. Return the Fragment to Xorva for your reward: XP, Luminance, and access to the Warrior's Rest portal (180+) for 10 days, which he will summon for you.

• The Stabilizer appears to be what causes the Gear Knights and Gate to spawn. You may discard it after you obtain your Fragment to stop getting spawned on until you can turn it in.

Xorva tells you, "I have created a device that will detect unstable portals."

Xorva tells you, "I believe corrupted Empyrean Gear Knights are using the same power source I require."

Xorva tells you, "I have manufactured a device to detect such anomalies."

Xorva tells you, "Please take this device, if you come across one of these portals destroy anything that comes out of them. Retrieve the power source and bring it back to me."

Xorva gives you Unstable Portal Stabilizer.

Xorva tells you, "Be careful adventurer, there is no telling how many enemy forces are on the other side of those portals."

Xorva tells you, "Once I have enough power I can create portals without the use of magic, and perhaps make them permanent, time will tell."

Xorva tells you, "Make haste adventurer."

Returning Dialog, quest incomplete

Xorva looks at you with disappointment.

Xorva tells you, "You do not have the power source I require, please make haste."

Reward Dialog

Xorva tells you, "I thank you adventurer job well done. I still require more sources of power, but you now have access to the portal once it is opened for a period of time."
