Overview
- Lockpick skill is required for this quest.
- The Water of Lethe is givable. If you already have a character with the recall, you might send this one in to grab the water, and give it to the character needing the recall. This saves you a run from Ayan Baqur.
- Custom: This is one of the quests for the Marketplace HearthSeeker 90-105 Quests.
Walkthrough & Notes
- Talk to Roderik over and over until you get a A Crabbed Note.
- Once you have the A Crabbed Note head to 33.8S, 85.3W - Mount Lethe Magma Tubes.
- Head down and you will find critters until you get to a lever guarded by a magna golem.
- Pull the lever, go right into the open door and pull the other lever go back near the surface portal and head down.
- At the end when you find the Pool of Lethe, open it like a chest and loot Water of Lethe (2 minute respawn).
- Take the water to Celcynd the Dour in Rithwic in the tavern at 10.7N, 58.1E and he will hand you The Reign of Alfrega.
- Take this back to Roderick and he will give you the Scroll of Mount Lethe Recall.
- Use the scroll to learn the recall spell. When you recall you will be high up in the air and then fall to the ground. A very cool recall spell!
Notes
- Rumors for his quest include: The Reclusive Mage, Mount Lethe Rumor, Mount Lethe Directions and Of Lord Cambarth.
- If you talk to Roderick multiple times, you can get the Diplomatic Message from Harlune - used for the Harlune's Diplomacy Quest.
- Step 2: Route: You can run from Ayan or get a ride through the Sclavus Cathedral.
- Step 4: Where you pulled the levers are the mini-bosses, Lord Cambarth and Foreman Brelax, that can be defeated for some lore.
- Step 5: There is a bigger boss virindi (Virindi Overseer here, but you don't have to kill it for the water. If you do kill it you can get the Torn Journal lore text, but it's hard for a non-mage (barely possible for two level 170 melees).

- Celcynd the Dour tells you, "You'll find it at the very bottom, but you must be level 20 or above to get in. Wait, I'll write you the location."
- Celcynd the Dour gives you Mount Lethe Directions.
- Handing in Water of Lethe to Celcynd
- You give Celcynd the Dour Water of Lethe.
- Celcynd the Dour tells you, "You got the Water of Lethe! I don't believe it. I... I've wanted this for... Do you know what this does? Do you know what it's like... the faces of so many waiting behind your eyes every night? The children asking you where their parents are?"
