Can we have weapons with a particle effect blade?

| Question: | Instead of having a sword with a blade with some fire effects on it, I think it would be cool for a weapon (like the ashbane, maybe) to have no blade at all, but the particle effects of fire, etc.. where the blade is supposed to be. Is this possible with current tech? |
