Question:	Does your character's level (relative to the moster's level) affect the amount of damage you inflict or receive? e.g. if I have the same defensive stats at level 35 as I did at 25 will a level 30 monster do less damage now that I am 35 as opposed to when I was 25?

Answer:	No, character level is just a general indicator of power. It has no actual gameplay effects (other than in allegiances, where it affects the number of followers you can have). In your example, both characters will take the same amount of damage.
