The in game date and can be viewed at the top of the Map Panel. On the map panel, the date is displayed in the following format: Month Day of Month, Year, e.g. Snowreap 1, 10 P.Y. Some areas such as Graveyard have spawns and NPCs that change depending on the time of day.

There are 16 time periods in a day.[1][2][3] There are 6 days in a week.[3] There are 360 days in 1 year.[3] There are 12 months in 1 year.[1][2] If we assume each month has the same length, there are 30 days in a month, and each month is exactly 5 weeks long.

In real world time, each in game day lasts 2 hours and 7 minutes.[4] Therefore, each individual time period lasts approximately 8 minutes. And each in game week lasts 14 hours and 49 minutes.

In lore, the system of time keeping used on Dereth is originally the system used by the old Isparian empire of Roulea. Roulea had spanned much of Ispar, and both the Old Roulean language and system of time had been used by traders on Ispar as a common form of communication. When Isparians of various heritage groups found themselves on Dereth, this language and system of time became the standard for everyone.[1][2]
