Summary

The Harbinger Awakens

After Gaerlan's attempts to raise the Harbinger using Nuhmudira as a vessel fail, the energy from the summoning destroys the town of Yanshi. The Harbinger, now awakened and without a vessel to contain it, is free to draw the essence from the world.

Later on, Elysa appears in the ruins of Yanshi after battling the creature and asks that players enter the portals to destroy the essence crystals and then the beast before it drains all the mana from the world.

• Server broadcast goes out that Elysa is in the ruins of Yanshi.
• Portals to the crystal dungeons containing the Harbinger essences also appear.
• When the crystal have been destroyed a lesser Harbinger appears that must also be defeated.
• Inside the Harbinger's Lair was a level 999 Harbinger and no crystal.

Elysa appears in Yanshi

In the ruins of Yanshi, a portal has opened. High Queen Elysa Strathelar awaits those that would enter within the wreckage of the once proud town.

Elysa staggers

Elysa Strathelar says, "I will live. The wound appears more severe than it truly is. We must rally ourselves. Be careful of the tentacles, they belong to the beast, but there is no way to harm them."

Elysa Strathelar says, "They will strike at you and use magics upon you. I think we weakened it... hope we weakened it. But it claimed so many lives. Lives that will not return, it was pure essence raw and unformed and then, all at once, it was there."

Elysa Strathelar says, "We fought, we fought so long, but it returned. Most of my men were slain and where they fell their corpses remain. We must rally as many as we can to fight this beast."

Elysa covers her mouth, as she coughs. She pulls her hands away, they are covered in blood.

Elysa Strathelar says, "We defeated it once! We can defeat this thing again."

Electric Tumult dungeon

[Player Name] strikes a blow that forces the Harbinger to cease motion. As the being splits apart the essence of storm is ripped free and returns to the ley lines of Dereth and Auberean.

The portal opens again in the ruins of Yanshi

In the ruins of Yanshi, a portal has opened. High Queen Strathelar asks that any able bodied warriors enter to destroy the beast that threatens to drain the mana, and thereby the magic, from the world.

The Harbinger is defeated

Beneath the ruined soil of Yanshi, the heroes of Dereth rejoice, as the brave [Player Name] strikes a fatal and final blow against the Harbringer. As the essence floods back through the world, an imperceptible weight is lifted from the shoulders of the populace. Peace has returned once again across Dereth.
