Actually, she was the daughter of a scribe. Not a noble, but not quite a peasant either. As for being Queen, she was instrumental in setting up the Aluvians in Dereth after the fall of the Olthoi, and was declared so by popular demand. She probably would've preferred otherwise. After making sure that the house was in order, she quietly slipped away. This was after Borelean's birth.
