This is the official Asheron's Call site dedicated not only to presenting the game but also to tracking its evolution. You, the players, will make this frontier a vital world, building upon its legends, establishing its bywords and customs, and helping to determine the new features the designers will create. In many ways, you are not merely citizens of Dereth but collaborators in its development, and we will use these pages to recognize your involvement. The Table of Contents on the left links to several important resources. Check News and Events for Asheron's Call event news, the background of the game world, and reports and fiction from creators and players. The Handbook includes the Code of Conduct by which all players must abide and covers a wide range of gameplay advice. You'll find game maps and other accessories under Downloads, in addition to movies and other special preview or promotional files. Need detailed help? In the top left corner of the page, beside the Zone logo, you'll find a help link to basic information about setting up and playing Asheron's Call, as well as detailed technical instructions to get you out of unusual jams.

Getting Started
- Buy the game, and put the CD in your drive.
- Install it -- click Install when the CD autostart screen comes up, or go to the My Computer icon on your desktop, double-click on your CD-ROM (there should be an Asheron's Call icon over it), and double-click Setup in the window that appears.
- Hit the Play link at the last installation screen. This will take you through the process of signing up for the Zone and starting your subscription, and will get you into the game with all possible speed.
- Keep checking these Asheron's Call pages for tips, news, events, and more! When you first start up Asheron's Call, you can click the Web button to get here right away. We suggest you read the Handbook, especially the General Advice article, for some helpful tips. You can reach the Handbook by clicking its link in the table of contents on the left. Whether your interest is forming a fellowship, improving the way you rendezvous and communicate with friends, or researching new spells, the Handbook will assist you.

Getting Started Step-by-Step
- Sign up for a free Zone account and install the Zone software. You'll be prompted to do this as you explore this site.
- All players who have been accepted into the beta test will receive e-mail telling them how to proceed. Read the instructions on how to install the game and set up your account. Not everyone will be given game access at the same time.
- Install the Asheron's Call software on your computer system. If you have trouble with installation or configuration, go to Game Help from the Table of Contents on the left side of the screen.
- You'll go a lot further in this world if you equip yourself with some solid tactics. Check out the Handbook from the Table of Contents.
- To get to the game rooms, click Play Asheron's Call in the Table of Contents. Enter a room by clicking any of the names listed. Every room will take you to the same virtual world.
- If you have problems that the Help pages don't seem to address, please file a bug. Use the blue-green Preview Edition: Report Bugs Here button to access the bug tool; you'll find it far down on the left.
