Walkthrough & Notes

Go to Fort Tethana, and head northeast to the Viamontian camp at 5.9N, 69.0W. There you will find a Viamontian Man-at-Arms; kill him and take his note Tethana's Response and if you wish, a Fort Tethana Portal Gem. This gem will make the return trip to Teth slightly faster.
- Optional: Loot the Knight's Stash for some randomly generated loot.
Return to Danby's Outpost and give Tethana's Response to Jin Ghao. He will give you The Queen's Missive.
Return to Teth.
- Optional: Speak with the Soldier in front of the Purple Tumerok Tavern. He will send you to the nearby Renegade Incursion.
Go to the Renegade Incursion located at 0.5N, 73.3W and locate Arwyth Margyle, who is at the end of the dungeon with two soldiers. Present her with The Queen's Missive and she will give you Tethana's Price.
Bring this note to Jin Ghao or the Grand Knight, depending on what rewards you want and which side you wish to help. Note that there are no loyalty quest flags associated with this quest, and your choice on which side to help is purely a roleplaying decision.
- Bring Tethana's Price to Jin Ghao in Danby's Outpost for 7,500,000 xp and the Blade of the Realm.
- Bring Tethana's Price to the Grand Knight in Sanamar for 7,500,000 xp and Renlen's Grace.

Jin Ghao tells you, "You! If you would do your Queen a service, I bid you listen to me."

Jin Ghao tells you, "Our forces have spotted several Viamontian Knights in the area around Fort Tethana. When attacked, they quickly fled into the hills. We have sent emissaries to Teth in the hopes that they might shed some light on this situation, but our emissaries have not exactly been met with the warmest of receptions."

Jin Ghao tells you, "I do not like this situation. There is something about it that fills me with dread. Go to Teth. Scout the hills north of Teth. If you find anything of note, report back to me."

Soldier (Fort Tethana)

Soldier tells you, "You seek Commander Kurth? He has been gone for some time. You'll want to speak with Lieutenant Commander Margyle. The Renegades are tunneling beneath the fort. There's a force of men down below to deal with the creatures before they can break through the earth. You can find the entrance to the pit just southwest of here. It's still on the plateau, though."

Arwyth Margyle

Arwyth Margyle tells you, "I have assumed command with the absence of Commander Kurth. Speak quickly if you have business - we have a war of our own to fight around here."

Soldier (Renegade Incursion)

Soldier tells you, "We hear the talk of blue-skins out of the north. We understand the fear they instill in many who follow the Queen, but we have our own problems to deal with here. If the blue-skins would aid us in this conflict, who are we to hold to ancient grudges?"

Soldier tells you, "The Renegades have been at our door for years. And in all that time, what reinforcement has the Queen shown us?"

Soldier tells you, "I thought that when Commander Kurth went missing, we'd have morale problems in the fort. But the truth of it is that we have no time to worry about that while we're constantly under siege by the Renegades."

Soldier tells you, "I've seen those Knights in action, and I must say, I am impressed. If Fort Tethana were to gain control of soldiers such as those, Fort Tethana would surely be a force to be reckoned with."

Jin Ghao tells you, "So, the King of Sanamar courts Fort Tethana. And they are still receptive, even after what happened to Kurth? Damn them all."

Arwyth Margyle tells you, "I do not think you are of the same cloth as them. I have a letter prepared. I trust you to deliver it to whoever you feel is most likely to aid Fort Tethana, be they a Queen...or a King. Let them send men to reinforce us, and then perchance we will consider alliance."
