Developer Quotes/Other Isparian Cultures
Q: According to Stormwaltz and the info on CoD about the Isparians, there are more than just the Aluvians, Gharun'dim and Sho. There are the Silverans, Rouleans, Viamonts, Milanto, and the other guys who are like the Mongols. Is there a reason that only the Aluvian, Gharu and Sho are on Dereth? Has there ever been thought on implementing either as a playable 'race' or just as characters in the storyline, (ala Elsya and others) who are Roulean, Milanto and such? (Nuhmirdira always seemed like she was Milanto to me... What with the dark rituals and all...)
A: I'm not sure if there's a lore reason why the portals only show up in the Sho, Aluvian, and Gharu'n lands on Ispar. Let me check with the lore guys (Orion and Keth) and get back to you.
Faster answer than I expected: From Keth: ...Aluvia is where the Empyreans visited, and when the portals went a bit wonky they seemed to start appearing to the south, but not to the East or West, where other countries reside.
