Overview

Quest to obtain one of Lady Maila's elemental stones (also known as Atlan Stones). The stones can be used to upgrade various weapons and armor:

Minor and major stones can be used to upgrade Atlan Weapons and Isparian Weapons.
Major stones can be used to upgrade Shadow Armor.
Both the stones can also be given to an Agent of the Arcanum for a Writ of Refuge (you need 1 major stone or 2 minor stones for the writ).
The minor stone is weaker than the major stone and therefore much easier to obtain.

Differs from Retail: The Amperehelion vault does not contain the higher level creatures from The Risen Princess event.
Differs from Retail: The minor stone location does not contain the higher level creatures from The Risen Princess event.
Differs from Retail: The timer to pick up the Atlan stone is 1 hour, rather than 20 hours.
Not Available: Atlan stones cannot be turned in to Agents of the Arcanum for writs.
Custom: This is one of the quests for the Marketplace HearthSeeker 60-70 Quests.

Walkthrough & Notes

The Major Sparking Stone

The dungeon has Amethyst Gromnies and lightning elementals.
From the drop take the first right, continue across the bridge, and then jump down.
Then follow either hall to large room. Cross the room and take the West(right) hall and follow it to another big room.
Take an immediate left without crossing this room and follow that path. In the next big room cross to the other side and take the north hall(right).
At the intersection go strait and down to another big room. Take the hall immediately on the right and down across a bridge. At the intersection go East(right) to the end of the hall and head north.
Go right at the intersection and right again. You should be in a square room with a path up to the West. Follow that path to a ledge and jump down to the bottom with the Major Sparking Stone and some other gems. Collect it and recall.
Optional: You can take the Textbook found with the stone to Bretself the Translator in Cragstone for translation at 26.0N, 47.0E.

The Minor Sparking Stone

To get to the cave quickly, start in Mayoi take the West Mayoi Mountain Villas portal at 60.8S, 80.3E, from here it is a short run to the cave at 60.0S, 75.5E.
Pick up the Minor Sparking Stone from inside the cave.
Optional: You can take the Textbook and the Hastily Scrawled Note found with the stone to Bretself the Translator in Cragstone for translation at 26.0N, 47.0E.

You give Agent of the Arcanum Major Sparking Stone.

Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "Here, take this as a reward."

Handing in Minor Stinging Stone to an Agent of the Arcanum

You give Agent of the Arcanum Minor Sparking Stone.

Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "These elemental stones have wonderful properties. The minor ones aren't quite as useful as the major stones, but I can reward you a writ if you bring me another minor stone."
