June 2023 - minor update in September 2023

Game Changes

• Pathwarden armor rewards changed - new items added that are more useful for new players. Free steel and granite appears to be gone.
• Several quests updated so that bosses spawn an object on death, and using that object gives the trophy the boss previously dropped.
• September Update: Server rules have been updated, which include a small "quest" in game. See Levistras Rules Quest for details.

New Quests

• Xorva's Quest - speak to Xorva in town network. Level 50+. Xorva gives a quest to find Unstable Exit Gate. Find a random spawn exit gate, kill corrupted empyrean gear knights until one drops an item that you turn in to Xorva for XP, luminance, and flagging for something.
• Levistras Rules Quest - added in September 2023.

Updated Quests

• Training Academy Quest - Pathwarden Greeters give new/different items for turning in unused armor.
• The following quests have been changed to where the boss no longer drops the final item, and instead an object is spawned that gives you the item:
  • Apostate Finale
  • Bloodstone Investigation
  • Defeating the Curator of Torment
  • End of Days
• Janthef's Release - you can no longer use the escape portal without first being flagged by Nekshla.

New NPCs

• Xorva - located in the Town Network, in the room opposite of Katreas and the community chest.
• Ali - added in September 2023.
• Malred - added in September 2023.

Updated Locations

• Viridian Rise numerous updates:
  • Virindia Rise area is now no-log.
  • On death, bosses spawn caches you use to obtain their essence, rather than than looting them from their corpse.
  • New spawns added that guard amber shards.
  • Blossoming Nightbloom can no longer be harvested just with cooking, must defeat a rare boss, and then can be harvested for free.

Even better, during our next venture, the End of Days, we hardly had to wait for those who usually lag behind and we all got a Scarab. Indeed, a pleasant surprise for all patient guildmates!"

Town Crier tells you, "Hear ye, hear ye! Curious happenings in Dereth! Those mysterious Warrior's Rest portals that have been cropping up everywhere? It appears one of the Empyrean Gear Knights has found a way to harness their power. Who knows what this might mean for our realm and its brave adventurers!"

Town Crier tells you, "In my recent travels, my eyes were caught by the sight of adventurers donning hoods with vibrantly colored trims. A delightful sight against the monotony of the road, I must say!"

Pyreal Rumors

Town Crier tells you, "Ah, how the times have changed! Back in my day, I had to face down a Diamond Golem to wrest its powder, trading it at the Arcanum for a mere Writ of Refuge. But the path is kinder to fresh adventurers today. The Pathwardens now generously provide such writs, along with other items new adventures would find useful."

Town Crier tells you, "Hear ye, hear ye! The renowned adventurer John, famed for his many quests, has conquered yet another challenge. I had the honor of speaking with him, and he revealed that he's now mastered the Apostate Finale! And better still, it's now added to the illustrious list of quests he accepts. Truly, a remarkable feat!"

Town Crier tells you, "I went to do Janthef's Release the other day and had forgotten to talk to Nekshla, I soon remembered when I couldn't activate the portal though."

Town Crier tells you, "Listen up, brave souls! There's a noteworthy change in Asheron's Castle. The knowledgeable aides stationed there, ready to reset your skills and attributes, now offer this invaluable service unlimitedly. But take heed, each new reset comes with a rising cost.
