I'm not sure why those Thugs are tracking my family and I down. Never have we wronged another, our only goal has ever been to help our fellow Isparians. In fact we have often answered the calls for aid put out over the years all across the land of Dereth.

They first attacked us outside of our home town Baishi. Luckily for us they were few in numbers and no match for a skilled family like ourselves.

We heard rumors of another, much larger attack on the town of Baishi. The desire to stand and fight was strong, but the want to keep my family safe was stronger. So I snuck them out to the neighboring town of Lin to hide them from those vile bandits. When I arrived back at Baishi I was too late, the town was in shambles and innocent blood had been spilt. Luckily for the townsfolk of Baishi, a group of brave warriors arrived to aid them in their time of need and fought back the forces of purple and gold.

Seeing the bloodshed was enough for me to decide to face those brutes head on next time they appeared. I have no desire for innocent people to be harmed for whatever offense I might have committed. I will be ready for them next time, I will fight until I fall.

I fought as hard as I could. I felled all of them who came near me. But they still managed to grab my wife while I was distracted, I could not save her. Those brave warriors arrived again. This time it was too late to save my wife, but it very well could be the reason my daughter is still safe. I must go off in search of my Fiona.

I found a camp filled with those vermin tonight, and once again those brave souls came to my aid. I must make sure to reward them fully for all the sacrafices they have made to help a stranger in need. They remind me a lot of myself.

All the camp provided was a note from the leader of this menace. Some whispers from the dying breath of the foot soldiers clued me in more. I must search the nearby hills for a hideout, it must be where they took my love.
