Overview
Walkthrough & Notes
- Enter the Platinum Legion Keep (100+) at 16.5N, 0.6E
- Move through the dungeon until you reach a locked door. Use the lever on the platform above (North Wall) to open the door and then continue down the hall.
- Again, move until you reach a room with another locked door. Use the lever on the pillar before the door to open it and move up the ramp.
- At the top of the ramp, use the Torch (lever) to open the 2nd locked door and enter the hallway.
- Optional: As you enter a room at the end of the hallway, there will be a cutback hallway to your right. Head down this hallway, kill the Platinum Legion Quartermaster, and loot the Platinum Legion Quartermaster's Key. At the end of this hall use the key on the Platinum Legion Quartermaster's Chest to get some decent treasure-generated loot. Backtrack to the the cutback entrance to continue the quest.
- Continue down the North West hallway until you reach the Platinum Legion Doorkeeper, kill him loot the Platinum Legion Door Key and enter the nearby door.
- At the end of the hall, kill Captain Balanchi and his Platinum Legion Bodyguards, then loot a Platinum Invader Lord Helm, Corcima Castle Platinum Ward Portal Gem and Dispatch to Captain Balanchi from Captain Balanchi's corpse.
- When everyone is ready, Use the Corcima Castle Platinum Ward Portal Gem to summon a portal to Corcima Castle. Enter the portal.
- Note: The portal is a hot drop.
- Once everyone is inside the Corcima Castle, kill the Platinum Legion Castellan nearby and loot Platinum Knight Medallion and Royal Blood from his corpse. Everyone in the fellow needs a medallion and the blood, so you may need to kill him several times, the respawn is pretty fast.
- Next, find General Corcima deeper in the courtyard and loot a Shard of Corcima's Armor from his corpse. He also drops 1 vial of Royal Blood and a Dispatch to General Corcima.
- Return to Jun Sawashima at 44.1N, 43.4W in Plateau Village and hand him your Shard of Corcima's Armor to receive the Coat of the Zaikhal Defender.
- Also hand the medallion to Jun Sawashima for experience reward.
- Apply the Royal Blood to your Platinum Invader Lord Helm to create a Blooded Platinum Invader Lord Helm.

We must continue to assault their strongholds in order to keep them off our lands. My associate, Ardry the Dubious, has scouted out the Viamontians' defenses. Here are his notes."
- Jun Sawashima gives you Viamontian Reconnaissance.
- Jun Sawashima tells you, "Please go to Zaikhal and show those dogs the might of our Queen!"
- Handing in Shard of Corcima's Armor
- You give Jun Sawashima Shard of Corcima's Armor.
- Jun Sawashima tells you, "A shard of the armor of Corcima himself! Truly, you are a hero. I can use this shard to make armor every bit as good as that which Corcima wore. Take this coat, with my gratitude."
- Jun Sawashima gives you Coat of the Zaikhal Defender.
- Handing in Knight Medallions
- You give Jun Sawashima Platinum Knight Medallion.
- Jun Sawashima tells you, "An insignia taken from one of those vile Knights. I think a reward is in order for your work in slaying one of these monsters."

When this quest was first introduced in the Throne of Destiny expansion, the Viamontian legions and their leaders attacked Zaikhal proper where they were defeated by players.
|[Player Name] has slain Captain Balanchi, one of the commanders of the Viamontian invasion! Without their leader, the Platinum Legion returns to its underground fortress and ceases to menace the land near Zaikhal.
