Overview
Kaywin is looking to fix the Great Machine in Mar'uun. Recover the needed Alloy Parts from various dungeons around Dereth.
- You must either be finished with or at least on week 3 of the Time Warp portion of the Portal Space Research quest to complete this quest. Kaywin will not be present in Mar'uun until the third week.
- This quest is very similiar to the Undead Mechanic Quest.
- Some dungeons in this quest require Lockpick skill or keys to reach the alloy piece.
Walkthrough & Notes
- If you decide to visit Kaywin, she will give you the Missing Mechanisms list.
- Proceed to the following dungeons and collect the alloy pieces (see also Dungeons & Maps below). They do not need to be collected or turned in in any particular order.
- Filo's Doom for the Alloy Device
- Empyrean Garrison for the Alloy Apparatus
- Lockpick skill required.
- Bone Lair for the Alloy Instrument
- Lockpick skill required.
- Glenden Wood Dungeon for the Alloy Tool
- Glenden Wood Dungeon - Lockpick or keys: Key 1, Key 2 and Key 3.
- Tomb of the Dead for the Alloy Contraption
- Saadia's Retreat for the Alloy Implement
- Enkindled Souls for the Alloy Utensil
- Crypt of Ashen Tears for the Alloy Mechanism
- Thieves' Den for the Alloy Cogwheel
- Smuggler's Hideaway for the Alloy Contrivance
- Mountain Keep for the Alloy Sprocket
- Dungeon of Tatters for the Alloy Cylinder
- Dungeon Nye for the Alloy Dynamo
- Old Mine for the Alloy Piston
- Lockpick skill required.
- Crater Caves for the Alloy Fan
- Small Icecave for the Alloy Pinion
- Key required (obtained by handing a bowl of Carol's Carrot Soup to Karwin, the Lunatic in Bandit Castle.
- Lost Garden Ruins for the Alloy Engine
- Inner Dungeon for the Alloy Motor
- Mount Naipenset for the Alloy Generator
- Phyntos Menace for the Alloy Turbine
- Return to Kaywin and hand the alloys to receive your rewards.
