| [damaged text]...yet he tires not. Frisirth, our dear friend, has been somewhat distant lately and often keeps to himself. It is at the times when he would usually partake in lighthearted banter with colleagues that I worry about him the most. His stories about the frigid Plateau of Gelid always cheered me up. That crystal has everyone in a state of panic, moreover bitter and offensive at times. It does not bide well for the future and our ultimate goal. I wish we never found that infernal thing. I fear it brings nothing but ill tidings for us all. There is rumour among the townsfolk that a war is imminent, but I have yet to see anyone even come close to the gates. It sounds like ghost stories designed to scare us. Who knows what the Lords are up to. Sometimes I think their version of prophesy is not our version of prophesy.
