To join the Order of Perfect Light one needed to become an adept of each of the fourteen spheres of magic. First, they would be ushered to the level of Defender of the Light and attain the rank of Initiate. They were chosen by [[Asheron]] or by the others who hold tenure over courses offered at [[Knorr]] and held to an oath of trust.<ref name=Order>2003/05 [[Discoveries]] - [[Order of Perfect Light]]</ref> Rites indoctrinated any who advanced beyond the rank of Initiate, and were able to alter the the [[Hieromancer's Armor]] with an orb that radiates pure light.
